Abstract
This study is focused on analysing and evaluating the generational leadership transitions. It refers to the understanding of different types of leadership styles in terms of depicting different generational leadership. This research is also concentrated on identifying the transitions that are present in the second generation leadership. This is because based on the generational differences that arc associated with the generation of Boomers, these are identified to be retiring with respect to the increase in terms of managers within Generation X and also the strong workforce being depicted by the younger adults within the Generation Y.
Research studies in this context have depicted that Generation Y is highly equal to the double size of Generation X regarding the western business world. Since, the business environment of the current century has had an experience of a diverse range generation, which has not been experienced in previous times. This reflects the need of identifying the role that is being portrayed by the change within the second generational leadership, and its further impact on the organisational performance. The study also examines the influence of this change in second generation leadership on the employees of an organisation.
This impact reflects the performance of the entire organisation, which signifies its importance. This study has employed the qualitative research method and developed a questionnaire. The study has selected 100 participants in a random manner, but based on their comfort, interest, and feasibility to participate in this research study. With this being the primary source for this study, it has also utilized the secondary sources of journal articles, e-books, research reports, and commercial websites in order to gain secondary data. The results of this study depict that in terms of older leaders, they are still employing traditional methods. It is necessary to process with the current era and manage with the challenges that are encountered by the organisation. leadership style is mainly based on the skills possessed by the concerned leader in order to focus on the productivity and employee performance.
