Abstract:
Effective professional development is the gate to improve teachers' quality education. This research project explores the effect of Professional development on primary teachers teaching pedagogies in a Maldivian school. The results of this study revealed that, professional development highly effects on teachers teaching and learning which includes lesson preparation, lesson delivery and classroom assessments. Having accomplished this study, helps to develop my teaching as a teacher and enhance own practices. This results also revealed that effective professional development influence teachers' values, beliefs and attitudes for the change. Therefore, it is recommended to have a proper planning before conducting a session with allocated person.
