Abstract
Human Resource of any organisation is the most vital element in the organization. Retention of the employees is important as they are the main cause for a company to gain high productivity. Motivation is key factor to retain the company employees, as motivated and satisfied employees will lead to good performance of the organisation.
In this globalized world. Retention if the most competent and skilled employees are difficult for the organization. Even the most skilled and competent employees will feel frustrated with the outcomes of organisational performance. Hence this paper will explore and identify motivational factors which could help in influencing the employee to retain in the job. The paper would include a literature review of the theories of motivation which can be used for the retention of the employees. The motivational factors which creates an impact on the employees are financial rewards, job characteristics, career growth, recognition and work-life balance. Thus, it is vital to identify the motivational strategies aligning with the retention strategies which could have a long-term effect to the organization.
