Finding effective ways to manage people : a case of managing people in the construction industry of Maldives / Shafaath Habeeb

Abstract

The main problem investigated in this thesis is find ways to manage people effectively in the construction industry of Maldives. The thesis is structured into 5 chapters. The first chapter is giving will give an introduction to the research. The thesis background will be given followed by the introduction of the Maldivian construction industry which will clearly state the problems caused by illegal expatriates.
Research questions and objectives will be mentioned in this chapter along with the research problems. And also, the research gap is mentioned in this chapter. The second chapter is the will be literature review. This chapter will focus on human resource management related literature. The necessary models and theories will be used to give an argument to the research questions.
The Third Chapter is the research methodology. It will show the How was the data collected or generated. And, how was it analysed. The fourth Chapter is the Data analysis and Discussions of the research. Final chapter will present the conclusion and recommendations based on the finding of the research.
