Abstract
Prevalence of autism is on the rise and Maldives is also having more and more children being diagnosed with Autism. One of the main challenge with Autism is impairment in communication. And it is thought that Augmentative Alternative Communication System such as Magey Adu helps to improve communication. This research examined the effectiveness of an iPad application . Magey Adu as form of intervention for enhancing speed in autistic children. Effectiveness in-terms of evaluating the impact on communication and whether the use of it leads to decrease in challenging behaviour was examined. The study approach with examine of two cases in depth. The findings of the study indicated that applications such as Magey Adu helps to improve the functional communication in individuals with Autism. Furthermore, it has a positive impact on decreasing the challenging behaviour in individuals with Autism.
