Abstract
The research presented in this dissertation aims to assess the e-government readiness in Maldives. This study seeks to define Governmental requirements that will be necessary for the adoption of an e-Government framework. Furthermore, unlike the existing literature that focuses primarily on technical issues, this study contributes a comprehensive understanding of the core factors challenging a conversion to an e-government model. This study will be critical for the executive personnel in assessing ICT readiness to improve the effectiveness of e-government initiatives.
