Abstract
This thesis will find the productivity of GEMS and its impact on cost since its implementation. In other words, this will help to evaluate the level of achievement of main purpose of implementing GEMS in Executive tire of Government of Maldives.
GEMS or Government E-Letter Management System is a service provided in E-Government platform of Maldives to reduce cost and bloom service delivery in public sector. Though researches were available reference to E-Government readiness and expansion. Lack of research in the area of post implementation of GEMS in executive administrative tire of Maldives opens the opportunity to explore the area. In order to support the measures implemented by government to reduce cost and run efficiently, this study will put light on impact of GEMS on productivity and cost. Further, this research will show how GEMS was used and what objectives of GEMS did achieve during past five years of operation.
First chapter will give opening to introduction to research with topic details and background of the thesis on E-Government and GEMS. Second Chapter will detail about the existing researches and studies about the GEMS and E-Government and its relation to the problem statement and thesis.
Research methodology will be discussed in third chapter. This includes data collection methods and how collected data will be analysed. Next Chapter will be the analysis of data and evaluation of outcomes in the light of existing literature, theories and studies.
Finally, fifth chapter will present the conclusion and recommendation based on findings from the fourth chapter of thesis.
