Abstract

Training and Development is one of the most key challenging aspects of all the organizations locally as well as internationally. There has been wide range of studies done by many researchers in different aspects of training and development. Only very few studies have been done in relation with training and development towards employee perception for the past years. Employee perception, attitude and behavior determine the success of any organization. Training and Development plays a significant role in developing professionalism in every organization and enterprise. Employees training help businesses as well as employees to expand their knowledge and develop their skills to improve their performance and career development. Hence every management wants to know the perception of employees towards the provided training and development program. This study aims to bring out the employee perception and their satisfaction level with regard to training and development activities. Furthermore, their motivation level and whether it has a positive impact on the employee performance after training, in Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL). The study also suggests recommendations for successful training and development enactment in MACL to create a favorable learning culture which strives for excellence.
