Abstract
This thesis encapsulates a study on the existing ICT services of Maldivian government institutions its effectiveness. It will evaluate and find the efficiency of the current approach of ICT service management and its effects and recognize a better suited approach for Maldives. It will then identify the challenging factors that might hinder success of such approach. For the purpose of: this study, a qualitative data analysis method using questionnaire and semi-structured interviews are used. The participants are chosen through a sampling technique of non-probability sampling, especially focused on the IT professionals and administrative and management staffs of government agencies. By analysing the findings from this research, it can be said that the current approach managing ICT services are largely inefficient and centralized management approach is needed to enhance the efficiency and performance of the agencies. This will also have positive effect on the society as public services will be delivered more efficiently.
