Abstract

This research is intended for the purpose of gaining a full understanding of the need for housing in the greater Male' area. Thus both qualitative and quantitative methods are used for the purpose of this research. This was done by gaining both qualitative and quantitative information via questionnaires and focus groups. The findings of the research will be discussed in the coming paragraphs. The recommendations and limitations of this research will also be further highlighted in the up-coming paragraphs. Moreover, suggestions are provided for the obstacles that are currently present in the housing market of the Maldives, majority these suggestions could be implemented at a state level. Furthermore the below information will provide a clear picture of the housing sector in Maldives.
