Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the factors involved in a successful learning organization and to explore in detail how a school is working towards a learning organization. The biggest issue in the education system is improving the teaching and learning process. Few researches have been done regarding education system and it revealed less information that is not enough to improve a learning organization process.
The study is a qualitative phenomenology and it helped to gather information about people's lived experience. A secondary school from Male' was selected purposefully, and seven participants were selected from different levels. The selected participants are three leading teachers, three teachers and the principal. Data was collected through a semi-structured interview.
Additionally, the study is based on system theory to investigate the factors involved in a successful learning organization. According to system theory, inter-related factors are needed to turn inputs to outputs through a transformational process.
The study came up with three main concepts that would help to implement a successful learning organization. They are input, process, output, and also this finding explored other inter-related factors that enhance learning organization. Additionally, it was identified that the three concepts plays a huge role to improve the learning organization against drawbacks.
Moreover, this study identified some implications and areas for a further research which would allow to improve the process of learning organization.
