Abstract:
Homework enhances students to yield better academic result. This study was conducted to identify the relationship between secondary grade students' completion of homework and their academic performance in a Maldivian School. The samples used for the research work were selected randomly from secondary grade students of Laamu Atoll Education Centre, Maldives. A total number of eighty eight students' comprising of thirty nine female students and forty nine male students were selected for the sample. The data collected was analyzed using statistical test of Pearson Correlation and one was t-test. The instruments used were students' questionnaire and results of term exam of students and the homework completion record sheets. The result indicated that there is a strong positive relationship between students' homework completion and their academic achievement. Finally, it was recommended in this study that a larger sample from all over the schools of Maldives should be used by further researchers to give more fairly valid results.
