Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the attention seeking behavior of preschool children and their mothers working for long hours. It also highlights the literature on how the children's behavior is affected by the secure attachment, the style or way of parenting and family rituals. Moreover, this study focuses on the importance of quality time to a child. The data was collected through a survey, using a questionnaire. The sample were students of eight different classes of the same pre-school. The findings were interpreted with contextual factors by Bowlby's Attachment theory. The implications of these findings showed that there is no relationship between the attention seeking behavior of preschool children and their mothers working for long hours
